FEATURES
Webserver
The Magma View system is built on client/server architecture. It is a web server that provides data for clients – by the default to Google Chrome web browser. This implies many advantages over legacy (classic) visualization software. In particular the option to connect multiple users simultaneously, both local (in the control room) and remote (over internet using VPN).
SQL database
The MAGMA View system contains the SQL database. It’s possible to use MySQL or MS SQL. Using SQL database enables efficient data backup and subsequent revision, especially in alarms, trends, recipes and batches. It’s also possible to generate user reports. The system automatically includes backup of all changes in technology parameters (operator name, date, time, old value and new value are all included). The MAGMA View system can also be used as an MES or ERP system.
OPC UA
In addition to direct communication with PLC Siemens systems with S7 protocol, MAGMA View can also communicate through OPC UA interface, which enables it to communicate with virtually any control system.
You can learn more about OPC UA here:

Multi-platform
By using recent development resources, we managed to make MAGMA View cross-platform. This means that it is possible to run visualization independently on used hardware or operating system (PC, tablet, smartphone...)
Redundancy
MAGMA View can be configured for redundancy. MAGMA View and SQL servers then run parallelly and in synch. During primary server failure, secondary server takes over and the system keeps on running without any downtime. This is especially useful for big installations and installations with continuous operation.
Modern Technology
The MAGMA View system was developed using cutting-edge technology. Technology keeps evolving and our visualization system evolves with it. Any future technology will be included in our visualization as well.
